Cala di Ponente is located on the northern coast of the beautiful island of Cavoli, included in the protected marine area of Capo Carbonara, in front of the homonymous promontory of Capo Carbonara, in the municipality of Villasimius. The Isola dei Cavoli is very popular with boaters, who prefer it thanks to the presence of some beautiful coves in which to find a pleasant shelter, in particular, precisely, the Cala di Ponente, easily accessible from the coast and protected from the winds due to its conformation long and narrow. The cove also has a small strip of sand that varies in size from year to year depending on the tides and a quay for mooring small boats. The cove is characterized by light gray granite rocks and by deep and wavy waters, of an iridescent dark green color, rich in fish and flora.
