Description

Cala Sapone is a crescent-shaped bay protected on either side by two promontories, offshore from islets, one of the most famous places in Sant’Antioco, in the extreme south-west of Sardinia. Considered one of the most loved places by the Antiochens, the beach is characterized by a coarse sand with red grains mixed with shells and coral fragments, with rocks in most of the beach and white flat rocks, from which it derives its name. The sandy part of the beach has a length of about one hundred meters, while the remaining part is about seven hundred meters in length on both sides. Going along it to its left, you arrive at a small beach and further on to a small bay or islets that emerge from the clear and transparent sea with colorful colors thanks to the rays of the sun that penetrate it.
