Isola di Santo Stefano

The island of Santo Stefano, surrounded by a turquoise sea, one of the most evocative landscapes in the world for its naturalistic value, is located in the stretch of sea south of the island of La Maddalena inserted in the Archipelago National Park extended over land and sea for over twenty thousand hectares. The island extends for three square kilo meters and is private property with the exception of the eastern side on which we find settlements of the Italian Navy and until 2008 the American military base for thirty-six years. Fishing and scuba diving are allowed only if authorized as part of an area of ​​environmental excellence.
