Museo della Cultura Pastorale di Fonni

The Museum of Pastoral Culture of Fonni is housed in an ancient and suggestive nineteenth-century manor and tells through images, sounds and typical tools, of the pastoral life of the Fonnese community. It was created thanks to the collaboration of some families in the town who, with their contribution, have participated in keeping the memory of the past alive. You can admire the interior furnishings of how the traditional houses of the town could have been: the kitchen with the oven, the room where the women spun the textile fibers, the cobbled loggia, the room dedicated to festivities. The latter is very interesting and evocative because the masks of the typical carnival of Fonni, traditional costumes and the votive bread that were prepared on the occasion of the feast of St. John are exhibited.
