Description
The Museum is located in the Medieval Castle of Las Plassas or of Marmilla (Arborea). Military fortified building from the Giudicato period. Its state of conservation is low, but it has an important historical importance as it was one of the control strongholds of the border of the Kingdom of Arborea. It rises on top of a hill 270 meters high, perfectly conical and with a mamillary shape, hence the name of the Marmilla. During the excavations, parts of the architectural furnishings were found, as well as exquisite ceramics (from the 13th to the 16th century), fragments of weapons, the remains of a millstone, glass and food remains, on display in the Castle museum.
