Description

The Nuragic complex of Cuccurada is also clearly visible from the SS 131 at Mogoro, in the Marmilla. The unique structure of its kind makes it fascinating and impressive at the same time. It consists of a nuraghe, a wall and a megalithic structure. The central nucleus has undergone several construction phases and restorations. The remains of huts have been identified in the courtyard. The excavations have brought to light an ancient pre-Nuragic wall and a deposit of coins from the Punic-Roman period.
