Nuraghe di Santa Barbara

The Nuraghe of Santa Barbara rises not far from the town of Sindia in the province of Nuoro, in the territory of Planargia; and is one of the most impressive and well preserved in the area. It is a two-storey single-tower building, built with ashlars of basalt stone arranged in regular rows. Its height is about twelve meters, has an underground entrance and is surmounted by an architrave. The upper floor is soared with a trapezoidal-shaped window and a niche inside.
