Description

The Nuraghe Mannu is located a few hundred meters from the Romanesque Cathedral of Sant'Antioco di Bisarcio, in an area full of nuraghi and Domus de Janas. The central tower and the splendid ogival niche four meters high are still visible of the nuraghe. It is all the surrounding nuraghes, the Mannu is the most important thanks to the discovery of one of the most precious and rare documents of the Nuragic age: the famous copper ingot engraved with the characters of the Aegean or Minoan alphabet, which contributed so much to the knowledge of relations between Sardinia and the ancient cultures of the eastern Mediterranean. From the Nuraghe you can enjoy a beautiful view of the plain below.
