Cala Fico is located on the northwestern coast of the island of San Pietro, it belongs to the territory of Carloforte north of the promontory where the westernmost lighthouse in Italy stands, "Capo Sandalo". The suggestive cove with rocky shore, sheltered by the promontory that dominates the landscape, creates a wild and unspoiled atmosphere. The sea is clear, with beautiful colors ranging from green to blue. The bottom, low with rocks and stones, is home to numerous species of fish. The beach surrounded by Mediterranean scrub is a protected oasis, established in 1991, as a refuge for the queen's falcon, (named in honor of the judge Eleonora d’Arborea), who chose the island as a place to nest.
