Spiaggia di Nelson Porto Rafael

Description

Located in the tourist village of Porto Rafael, in the municipality of Palau, the Nelson Bay is a small beach about eighty meters long, and takes its name from the famous English admiral. It is framed by granite rocks, and by a dense and luxuriant vegetation of the Sardinia Mediterranean scrub, from which some beautiful villas emerge. Its beach is of light, golden-pink, coarse-grained sand. The sea is aquamarine green and turquoise, transparent and bright. The seabed is instead sandy but dotted with stones, and shallow only for a first stretch. From Nelson's Bay you can enjoy a beautiful and evocative view of the splendid coast of Palau, the island of Santo Stefano and that of La Maddalena.
