Casa Museum "Sa Domu'e Farra"

Description

The casa museum is located in the territory of Quartu Sant'Elena, on the south coast of Sardinia. The very interesting ethnographic exhibition "Sa dom'e farra" (the flour room) was born in 1978 on the initiative of Cav. Giovanni Battista Musiu who oversaw the preparation and reconstruction of the lifestyles and traditions of Sardinian society of the past centuries. Strongly desired by the councilor of culture and popular traditions, Maria Lucia Baire. The Sa Domu 'e Farra Museum was created with the contribution of the Foundation of Sardinia, the scientific collaboration of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory on Music of the University of Cagliari. The latter entrusted the care of the contents to the ethno musicologist Marco Lutzu, and of the Crs4 who created the experiential exhibition path using the most modern and innovative technologies.
