The Punta delle Oche cliff is located on the north side of the island of San Pietro, in the municipal area of Carloforte, an island located in front of the south west coast of Sardinia, near the island of Sant'Antioco. It is a cliff overlooking the sea with numerous ravines and cavities. The most particular and well-known is the Grotta delle Oche, so called because it is the undisputed kingdom of the seagulls called "geese" in the Carlofortino dialect. It opens into the trachytic rock at a point where the coast drops sheer to the sea with a drop of about twenty meters, about 20 meters deep and semi-submerged, within which various animal species can be found. It can only be reached by sea and only by small boats, offering visitors a fascinating spectacle of colors and plays of light on a limpid and transparent sea, while the top of the cliff is easily accessible by land, from where you can enjoy a priceless view of the whole beautiful landscape of the island, made up of cliffs and islets.
