Museo archeologico di Sant'Antioco

Description

The Archaeological Museum of Sant'Antioco is located in the southwestern part of Sardinia. It was inaugurated in 2005 and adjacent to the tophet area, exhibits archaeological finds from both the town of Sant'Antioco and from other locations in Sulcis. The ceramics are noteworthy, and the often golden jewels are of exquisite workmanship. Particular emphasis is given to the Punic tomb in via Belvedere. The tophet is represented by a strati graphic panel and by the display of the steles and cinerary urns. The reproductions of Phoenician and Punic warships and transport ships are of great interest.
