Museo Sardo di Geologia e Paleontologia "D. Lovisato"

The Sardinia Museum of Geology and Paleontology "D, Lovisato" is located in Cagliari, in the southern part of Sardinia. Inside it is possible to admire a stimulating collection, enriched over the years, also thanks to donations including the numerous samples left by the illustrious scholar Alberto la Marmora, of mineralogical, geo paleontological and petro graphic finds to tell the story of the Earth from the Paleozoic to the Quaternary. The collection on display has about eight thousand finds including minerals, fossils and rocks and undoubtedly a meteorite that crashed in Sinnai in February 1956 deserves particular attention.
