The Nuraghe Albucciu is located in the north east of Sardinia about three kilo meters from Arzachena. It is a nuraghe dating back to the Bronze Age made up of regular medium-sized granite blocks and built on a rock outcrop that has become an integral part of the structure. In good condition, it is part of the rare mixed architectural construction typology: the tholos one and the corridor one. The height allowed the construction of a mezzanine that divided it into two floors: the main daily work activities took place in the upper part, such as the processing of milk, cereals and bread. In this archaeological area there are, in addition to the nuraghe, some circular huts which together with the Tomb of the giants (called Tomba Moru) and the Tempietto constituted the nuragic complex of Malchittu.
