Description
The Sacred Well Serra Niedda is located in the territory of Sorso in north-western Sardinia. This interesting archaeological area, located in the hinterland of the Gulf of Asinara, dated between the Bronze Age and the early Iron Age, includes a circular building, a sacred well, also circular, and several huts built in later times . It is possible to access the inside of the well through eleven steps made of limestone except for the last three dug directly into the rock. The numerous artifacts found on this site, including a tribal chief with a spear with a ram on a leash, are exhibited at the Sanna Museum in Sassari.
