Description

The Funtanazza beach is located in the municipality of Arbus, on the west coast of Sardinia. Surrounded by a green and dense pine forest, it is formed by a long stretch of medium-grained golden sand, crystalline sea, with many shades of blue and green, mostly sandy with some rocks. The seabed, near the shore, is sandy but suddenly becomes deep. All around a typically Mediterranean scented vegetation, basalt rocks and cliffs in which the atmospheric agents have carved caves and ravines particularly appreciated by lovers of underwater excursions. When the Monte vecchio mine was active, it was built on the hill overlooking this beautiful stretch of coast, the largest summer marine colony in Sardinia, but currently this structure, considered futuristic at the time, is in disuse.
