Description

In Nebida, in the territory of Iglesias, in south-western Sardinia, there is the enchanting Portu Banda beach. Inserted in a small cove, it is characterized by dark sand, medium-grained, mixed with smooth pebbles, protected by high dark red cliffs that chromatically stand out against the blue-green of the sea. The seabed, near the shore, is low and pebbly and abruptly slopes towards the open sea. It is a particularly fascinating and evocative stretch of coast enriched by the presence of two imposing stacks located a few meters from the shore, and easily reachable by swimming, from the island of Pan di Zucchero in the back ground, as well as the old ruins of ancient mines that emerge on the beach. All around a green and dense Mediterranean scrub. There are no services.
