Spiaggia di Punta Foghe

Description

Punta Foghe Beach is located in Tresnuraghes, on the central western coast of Sardinia. It is inserted in a spectacular inlet carved into the basaltic cliff by the erosive action of nature and embellished by the presence of the Rio Mannu, elements that make this coast unique thanks to the presence of islets and coves. The beach is not very busy, formed by a sandy bottom mixed with pebbles, where you can admire the meeting of the river with the splendid sea, crystalline and limpid. It is surrounded by dense typically Mediterranean vegetation as well as reeds, where birds of prey and sea birds circle, and dominated by the Spanish Foghe watchtower. In order to access this suggestive and wild beach you have to go along a dirt path, paying attention in some points, and equipped with suitable footwear.
